When configuring a Media Endpoint, the Tar files option will determine whether the SightCall platform will push / upload the pictures and recordings in a compressed .tar file instead of the native media file format (jpg, png, mp4, etc.).
If Tar files = No, SightCall will push the individual picture file to the destination Folder Name directly. For recordings, SightCall will push a folder containing a recording file (all.mp4), a recording metadata (metadata.json), and a thumbnail picture for folder preview (thumb.png).
If Tar files = Yes, SightCall will zip each individual picture file into a .tar file before pushing it to the destination Folder Name. For recordings, SightCall will zip the folder (as described above) into a .tar file , then push it to the destination Folder Name.
