In order to use the screencasting effectively, here are the settings necessary and the general idea of how to use it during a call.
1. Use Case Setting
The first step takes place in the Admin Portal. Indeed, to enable Screencast, Admins need to add the Screencast button to the relevant Use Cases. The Screencast button can be added to the Console Controls and/or Guest Controls.
It is recommended to untick the "Video while Share IN*" when you are willing to use screencast.
Once that these steps have been completed by the Tenant's Admin, the Screencast is ready for use.
2. In Use
The agent will have access to various features depending on the guest's mobile or the Settings that have been set for the Use Case.
- During a Screencast, an Agent can point and draw on the live content (Android only).
-
If the save picture feature has been set on the Remote Console bar, the Agent can save a Snapshot of the broadcasting.
-
An Agent can end a Screencasting session by clicking on the active Screencast button.
The Guest can stop the Screencast at any time by pressing the Screencast button on their device.
PS: On iOS, if the mobile device goes to sleep, the Screencast will automatically stop.
On Android, the Screencast will remain active even after going to sleep.
