With the July 2022 release, SightCall is consolidating desktop and mobile agent types into a single universal agent user type.
One license for all agents
All agents will have access to host video sessions on either desktop or mobile devices. Mobile agent licenses will be deprecated.
Unified Users section
The Users section in the admin portal will only have one table to manage all agents. The Mobile Agent section will be deprecated.
Mobile agent user migration
SightCall will help migrate mobile agent users to desktop agents users. For existing mobile agent users, when no desktop agent exists with a matching email address for a mobile agent, then a desktop agent will be created. No new user will be created when a desktop agent user and mobile agent user have a matching email address.
Mobile use cases deprecated
Mobile use cases will also be deprecated. The Use Cases MOBILE section will be removed from the admin portal.
SightCall will create new use cases to correspond to those mobile agents that do not currently have a desktop agent account.
We encourage you to check use cases to ensure all agents have a use case associated with their video needs.
SightCall mobile app
For features that desktop use cases support but are not supported on the SightCall app, those will remain unsupported on the app. The SightCall app will not attempt to use features that it cannot support.
The mobile agent app will not show use cases that include Multiparty features and will not show ACD use cases for the agent user.
