With Release 26.17 of SightCall VISION Console, released on October 13, 2026, your date and time format preferences are saved to your user account instead of only to your browser. Your chosen formats now follow you to every browser and device you sign in from.
This change is part of VISION Console Preferences in SightCall Remote Visual Support.
What's new
In VISION Console settings, each user can choose:
- Date format: DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY
- Time format: 12-hour or 24-hour
When you select Save changes, your preferences are saved to your account. They apply to dates and times shown across VISION Console screens and in date and time pickers.
How it works
- When you sign in, VISION Console loads your saved preferences on any browser or device.
- A preference saved to your account takes priority over any format stored in your browser.
- If you don't have a saved account preference yet, a format you chose earlier in that browser may be carried over. Otherwise, the default settings apply.
- After you select Save changes, the new formats apply right away. You don't need to reload the page.
- If another user signs in on the same browser, VISION Console loads that user's own preferences.
- If saving fails, an error message is displayed and your preferences are not saved.
Default settings
If no preference has been saved, VISION Console uses:
- Date format: DD/MM/YYYY
- Time format: 24-hour
Set your date and time preferences
- In VISION Console, open your settings and go to the date and time format options.
- Select a date format: DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY.
- Select a time format: 12-hour or 24-hour.
- Select Save changes.
Good to know
- Each user sets their own preferences. There is no organization-wide or administrator-enforced date and time setting.
- Date and time formats are separate from your VISION Console language setting.
- This release does not add other date or time formats or time zone settings.
