Multiparty calling in SightCall VISION allows hosts to add additional users to their calls by resharing the meeting link directly from their mobile app, or from the original invite. The invitation method may vary slightly per configuration.
Some things to keep in mind when making multiparty calls:
- Only hosts are able to share the invitation link from within the SightCall mobile experience, however links can be shared using other direct methods once they're published externally.
- Hosts receive a visual alert when a guests is attempting to join, and can approve or deny the new guest's entry into the call.
- During multiparty calls, the guest who is speaking in the moment, will be the visible guest on the host's screen. This means that a guest who mutes their microphone, will not be shown on camera, until they unmute themselves and begin speaking.
- Meeting Links are not unique to individual guests, so anyone with the meeting link, can request to join. This also means that in SightCall meeting reports, it's not possible to indicate the time at which Guest A joins vs Guest B joins, and similarly, when they leave the meeting.
